The fashion world has been fascinated by the grandeur of far-off galaxies and interstellar ships.
In the wake of the new Star Wars episode titled ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Etro partnered with Disney to create an exclusive collection that will add some sci-fi chic to your wardrobe.
The unisex capsule collection contains 10 items: hoodies, bombers, baseball caps, and shirts, all carrying retro-style prints of the original trilogy characters. The collection maintains a delicate balance between sci-fi references and Etro’s DNA. The prints portray Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Magister Yoda. In the past the likes of Vetements, Rodarte, and Preen experimented with placing Darth Vader’s mask and the imperial coat of arms on women’s clothes. Keane Etro, the brand’s creative director, decided to focus on the light side of the force. “Let the green force be with you!” he commented referencing the house’s constant aspiration for sustainable development and environmental protection. “Green like Yoda, my favourite character, Green like our biggest obligation to nature and our planet” he added.
However, you should not mix this collection’s items unless you want to look like a Comic Con visitor. The point of the line is to add some sci-fi flare to your look. Office attire may be complemented by socks and the wallet with the Star Wars logo on them.
