iSaloni 2019 is the main event of the year for furniture designers and manufacturers. Since 1961 the fair has set the trends for interior design and the furniture market on the whole.
For 6 days the fair takes over the city, and design spreads from exhibition stands and halls to the streets. The 200,000 sq.m. space houses modern products and solutions presented by 2418 participants focused on combining design with technologies, flexibility, and sustainability.
Salone del Mobile.Milano is divided into three main categories:
Classic: Tradition in the Future: traditions and craft in the art of creating classical furniture and accessories.
Design: functionality, innovations, and immaculate sense of style;
xLux: timeless luxury with a modern stylistic twist.
Rho Fiera exhibition complex unites a mesmerizing multitude of brands and designers. Regulars advise to get a catalogue, pick the most interesting names, and follow the plan to the letter. Pavilion #1 usually houses Blumarine, Fratelli Boffi, and Lalique, luxury brands specialising in tailor-made luxury interiors. Pavilion #3 is home to Versace, GF Ferre, Etro, Roberto Cavalli. Fans of younger designers should definitely visit the SaloneSatellite contest (pavilions 22 and 24). Entrepreneurs might enjoy Workplace 3.0, a project designed to be an analysis centre for searching and understanding necessary changes for workspaces, and S.Project which presents the whole spectre of technological solutions for interior design and a possible new business platform for the fair.
