In Paris, the last stage of dismantling the scaffolding around the Notre-Dame Cathedral has begun. According to France Info, this stage is crucial for the further restoration of the cathedral, because only after the dismantling will it be possible to assess the full damage caused to the Notre-Dame de Paris.
The scaffolding had been installed around Notre-Dame de Paris right before the fire that occurred in April 2019. The metal structure was severely damaged during the fire but fortunately did not fall on the cathedral. Industrial climbers will take part in dismantling the scaffolding. The work will last up to three months.
