Over 170 Bvlgari jewels retrieved from historical archives and private collections are on display in Rome till November 3, 2019.
Both St. Angel Castle and Palazzo Venezia in Rome are housing Bvlgari’s The Story. The Dream exhibition made in partnership with Polo Museale del Lazio (Museum Centre of Lazio). The exhibition speaks about the evolution of a small family trade which gradually turned into a world class luxury brand. Both spaces display fantastic jewels, a grand total of 80 couture dresses from Cecilia Matteucci Lavarini’s private collection, archive photographs, excerpts from newspapers, and café society-related columns written in various decades.
The exhibition at St. Angel Castle displays pieces of jewelry worn by Bvlgari-loving film stars as well as the brand’s iconic collections: Monete, Parentesi, and Serpenti.
The exhibition at Palazzo Venezia allows tracing the history of the jewelry house from Satirio Bulgari’s — the house founder — arrival at Rome in late XIX century.
The exhibition has been arranged by Edith Gabrielli and historian Chiara Ottaviano. All exhibits have been selected by a Scientific Council headed by Francesco Benigno, modern history professor at Scoula Normale in Pisa.
The grand opening was attended by various celebrities who complemented their looks by jewels made by their favourite brand: Carlotta Bulgari, Carey Mulligan, Daniel Lismore, Anna Cleveland, Lilly zu Sayn Wittgenstein Berleburg, Greta Ferro, Alessio Lalice, and other guests.
If, however, you are not planning to go to Rome before November we recommend you visit one of Moscow’s main exhibition — till September 29 Fondation Louis Vuitton exhibit the best modern artworks at Pushkin Museum.
