On May 26 Moscow hosted the XVI retro car rally.
Since 2016 apart from automobiles made prior to 1977 cars manufactured after 2003 have been admitted to participating in L.U.C. Chopard Classic Weekend. The oldest racer once again was Renault EF from 1914 which has won the “Veteran” title several times.
To celebrate Bentley’s 100th anniversary L.U.C Chopard Classic Weekend Rally included an exhibition arranged by the brand’s official dealer in Moscow. Apart from this the guests and the participants were presented with L.U.C. Quattro watch issued in a limited edition of 50 copies. To honour the tradition the winners were awarded with watches from L.U.C. and Classic Racing collections manufactured at Chopard’s shop in Fleurier.
Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard and a passionate connoisseur and collector of rare cars, visits the rally in Russia every year. The Swiss watch and jewelry house Chopard has been related to the automotive world for over 20 years. Chopard is the official time-keeper of Grand Prix de Monaco Historique and Mille Miglia rallies. The brand sponsors Argentina’s 1000 Millas Sport rally as well as Egypt’s Rallye des Pharaons, the annual British Classic Car Meeting in St, Moritz and the Oldtimer Rally in Gstaad in Switzerland.
