Balmain unveiled its new couture collection on a barge in Paris on July 5.
As part of the show, the creative director of Balmain Olivier Rousteing wanted to acquaint the viewer with the 75-year history of the fashion brand: the designer presented both new models from the women’s and men’s collection, as well as dresses created by Eric Mortensen and Oscar de la Renta.
The presentation of the new collection took place on the barge, accompanied by the French singer Yseult. According to Olivier Rousteing, the show was supposed to mark the end of the quarantine in France, as well as show the viewer that fashion could be available to everyone.
