Christie’s auction house once again set a world record – the literary work of William Shakespeare “The First Folio” was sold for $ 9.9 million. The collection of plays by an English author became the most expensive literature piece in the history of the auction.
The work was acquired by the collector of old books Stefan Löwentheil, according to which “The First Folio” is the most significant collection of William Shakespeare among all that have ever been published.
