The growing popularity of apps in which you can create video conferences (Skype, Zoom) speeded up the launch of new services on several social networks. Following the popular social network Facebook, VKontakte launched a group video call service.
To start a video call on VKontakte, you need to use the mobile app: open a conversation with the person and click on the phone icon in the upper right corner of the active window. Up to 8 people can take part in a video call at the same time.
A little earlier, the Whatsapp social network also increased the number of participants in a video call from 4 to 8 people.
