The Maldives Ministry of Tourism announced the opening of the borders to foreign tourists from July 15. According to official information, travelers will not need to provide a certificate of absence of COVID-19 or go through a two-week quarantine when entering the republic.
The only limitation that tourists may face is that they will not be able to change their place of residence while on holiday. Also, the Maldives authorities announced the possible conduct of random testing of guests for COVID-19. If necessary, tourists will also be able to test for coronavirus when leaving the country.
