The Olympic Games, which were due to take place in 2020 in Tokyo, have been postponed to the next year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the official statement of the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, the Summer Olympics will be held in July 2021 and won’t be postponed to a later date under any circumstances.
