To honor the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Ralph Lauren launched a new capsule collection and reworked its signature polo.
The collection is dedicated to saving the environment and is made entirely from recycled materials. To create each polo shirt Ralph Lauren used plastic bottles, and while tinting the fabrics, the company used an innovative waterless process. Unlike last year’s collection, which was created in only 4 colors, the polo shirts from the new collection are available in 19 colors.
According to Ralph Lauren, by 2025, the company plans to pick up and recycle more than 170 million plastic bottles, and later use them in their production. This is not the first time the brand takes measures to protect the environment. Last year the company pledged to achieve zero waste policy, as well as reduce water use in its factories.
A new collection is available on the official Ralph Lauren website.
