After a day full of shows graced with colours and sunlight at Milan Fashion Week Jil Sander brought a laconic urban collection.
The German designer who has been dubbed the “queen of minimalism” did not stray away from the trademark style: reserved straight lines, non-deformable fabric, black and white patterns with a few colourful additions formed the basis of the collection. As opposed to the more colourful collections by Peter Pilotto and Alberta Ferretti, Jil’s collection is more appealing to urban dwellers, and fans of the corresponding style. The liveliest addition to the collection is the imprints depicting fish cutting through streams of water and swallows. The visually laconic looks have been complemented by a few accessories including graphical collars, various comfortable bags, and complex earrings.
