New York is gradually returning to cultural life: museums and galleries begin to open in the city. The Governor of New York State said at a press conference that cultural institutions might reopen from August 24.
After the Governor’s statement, the Metropolitan Museum of Art administration announced the preliminary date of the museum opening – it will be August 29. Following him, the Whitney Museum of American Art announced that it would open its doors to visitors on September 3.
