The Guggenheim Museum in New York is now the official owner of the controversial work of Maurizio Cattelan – a banana taped to the wall and instructions for installing the artwork.
The scandalous work was anonymously donated to the museum along with a certificate of authenticity. For the first time, the installation of artist Maurizio Cattelan was exhibited at the Art Basel Miami exhibition in December 2019.
