The Japanese government has begun developing COVID-19 countermeasures to prepare to open its borders to foreign tourists. According to the official announcement, Japan will be ready to accept travelers from April 2021.
Developed safety measures will include the stages of arrival, stay in the country, and departure of the traveler. At all stages, tourists must check-in in an application, as well as provide a health certificate that proves they do not have COVID-19.
