The long-awaited boutique opened its doors in St. Petersburg marking the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission and “the giant leap for mankind”.
On July 18 1969 astronauts landed on the Moon wearing Omega Speedmaster watches on their wrists. To honour this date the Swiss brand has presented an anniversary iteration of the famous ‘moon watches’. The chronometer made of exclusive 13 carat Moonshine gold mimics Speedmaster BA 145 022 is powered by hand-wound Master Chronometer 3861 mechanism.
The cocktail party was held at BABOCHKA space which houses the boutique. The guests enjoyed the Speedmaster exhibition and took part in an interactive Moon landing with the aid of cutting edge technologies. Later on the guests were invited for a dinner at Planetarium No.1 Giant projections of the Moon and stars on the inner side of the dome turned the night into a space trip. An immersive dance performance was followed by a dinner made by Massimiliano Sena, chef at Il Lago restaurant at Geneva’s Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues.
Among the volunteers who aspired to complete a virtual Moon landing mission there were Liaisan Utyasheva, Elena Letuchaya, Aglaya Tarasova, Elena Krygina, Inna Malikova, Diana Vishneva, Svetlana Bondarchuk, Natalia and Murad Osmann, Boris Belotserkovski, Sofia Nikitchuk, Laura Dzhugelia, Evgeniya Linovich, and other guests.
