Baselworld fair is going through hard times. Initially announcing the postponement of the fair due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers of Baselworld finally decided to cancel the event in 2021.
The reason for this decision was the refusal of many leading watch brands to participate in the event. A few years ago, the Swatch Group left the Baselworld fair. And during the pandemic, Rolex, Patek Philippe, and the LVMH conglomerate also announced they were leaving the fair. Thus, Baselworld has been left without its key exhibitors.
