The Metropolitan Museum is preparing to open a new exhibition: ‘About Time: Fashion and Duration,’ dedicated to the history of costume in honor of the museum’s 150th anniversary. Not only the presented exhibits will be unique in the form of fashionable images and iconic outfits of the best designers, but also the audio accompaniment of the exhibition. Hollywood actresses such as Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, and Nicole Kidman will read excerpts from Virginia Woolf’s cult novel Orlando.
According to the curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute, it was the novel Orlando, as well as the 1992 film that inspired it to open the exhibition.
According to preliminary data, the exhibition will be from October to February 2021.
